Why the lighting backbone

Most buildings already run power and mounting points across every aisle and zone. Stellar uses that footprint as the backbone of industrial IoT: place sensing where the work happens, stream data into Stellar Command, and turn passive lighting into an intelligence layer.

This page is about sensors and data you can use. Fixture photometrics and layouts stay on their own pages. For radio-free sites, sensors and wireless are optional - ask about the no-radio path when required.

Frequently asked questions

Do sensors require smart fixtures everywhere?
Sensors are part of the Stellar intelligent stack. Sites that cannot allow wireless radios should tell us up front; we can keep a separate radio-free lighting conversation.

Is this the same as photometric design?
No. Photometrics design how much light and where fixtures go. Sensors report what is happening in the live building. Photometric design is a separate paid layout service.

Will this page quote energy savings percentages?
No. We describe the data and the decisions it supports - not invented savings math.
